By practising perineal massage from 34 weeks, a few times per week, you can reduce the severity of tearing during childbirth. You can self-massage your perineum or involve your partner, if you struggle. Our 2-minute guide will guide you through it.

massage for mastitis

Mastitis is an inflammation of the breast tissue which most commonly occurs to women who are breastfeeding. It can be accompanied by flu-like symptoms, with one or both breasts affected, and it usually appears as a red patch – which is warm and sore to touch - at the side of the breast. The best ways to treat mastitis are to continue to breastfeed, massage the breast to help relieve any blocked ducts, and place a chilled cabbage leaf into your bra.
